J. Nelson Murray

J. Nelson Murray, 66, of Canaan Station, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, September 2, 2010. Born in Campbellton, he was the son of the late Patrick and Delphine (Guitar) Murray. Nelson was a former carpenter, mechanic and bodyshop employee. He was an outdoors person who enjoyed fishing, collecting antiques and socializing with family and friends.

Nelson will be sadly missed by his children, Ricky (Bobbie) and Dennis (Tina Sweezey), both of Moncton; Cris of Edmonton, Timmy (Rhonda) of Canaan Station; seven grandchildren; Mary Layton, the mother of his children; sisters, Dolores Dufour and Velda Renault (Micheal) both of Quebec; brothers, Edwin (Rena) and Johnny (Margaret), both of Moncton, Paul, Jimmy and Robert (Lucy), all of Quebec, Rene of Moncton; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Coleman.

Sharing of Memories for Nelson will be held at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Reception Centre, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) Sunday, September 5, 2010, 7 to 9 pm.
