Kathleen "Kay" O. Lawrence

Kathleen “Kay” O. Lawrence, 88, of Moncton, with her loving family at her side, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Wednesday morning, September 1, 2010. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Amelia (Stradling) MacDonald. Kathleen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and was a member of the Moncton First Church of the Nazarene, where she served her church in various capacities in past years. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, reading, doing puzzles and socializing with her family and friends.

Kay will be sadly missed by her daughters, Margaret Hyslop (Reginald) and Marian Gilbert (Don), both of New Canaan, Shelly Benton (David), Orleans, ON, Peggy Skidmore (David), Medicine Hat, AB; son, Douglas (Ted) (Donna), Moncton; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brother, Doug MacDonald (Arlene), Burlington, ON; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Leonard E. Lawrence (May 2009); brothers, Hughie, David, George and Albert; sisters, Lillian, Ethel, Marguerite and Shirley.

Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Friday from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm. Funeral Service, Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Friday, September 3, 2010, 1:30 pm, Rev. Gary Cowper officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment, Elmwood Cemetery.
