Margaret "Peggy" McGeorge Bustard
Margaret “Peggy” McGeorge Bustard, 95, of the Drew Nursing Home, Sackville and formerly of Moncton, where she resided with her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Gerald Carson,passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, August 25, 2010. Born in Ripples, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Clara (Sparks) Smith. Peggy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and was a life time member of the Wesleyan Church. She was always a good source of fun and loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren with unconditional love. Peggy spent many hours baking (especially doughnuts) and had a great love of poetry and in her later years loved to recite these poems from memory. She spent a long faithful life of service to her Church and to her Lord and was very involved in church work with her late husband, Albert McGeorge, as they were one of the founding members of the Reformed Baptist Church in Halifax, NS. Albert and Peggy were heavily involved in the church visitation and their home was always open to church folk as well as Bethany Bible College students (in Yarmouth). Peggy looked forward to spending her summers at Beulah and attending the church camp.

In addition to her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Gerald Carson, Peggy will be sadly missed by her children, Gloria Gilmore (Harry) and Faith, both of Fredericton and Gordon McGeorge (Maureen), Moncton; 27 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husbands, Albert E. McGeorge (1978) and William Bustard (1996); daughters, Wilma Lewis and Sharon Trewin; grandson, Darren; sister, Amanda; brothers, Allan, Porter, Wilfred and Albert.

Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Saturday, 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service, Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Sunday August 29, 2010, 2:00 pm, Rev. Don Ingersoll officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment, Fredericton Rural Cemetery on Monday, August 30, 2010, 11:00 am, Rev. Robert Dunlop officiating.
