Robert "Bob" G. Martin

Robert “Bob” G. Martin, 70, of Jordan Lifecare Centre, The Glades and formerly of Fleming St., Moncton, with his wife at his side, passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, August 18, 2010. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late George and Lillian (Nelson) Martin. Bob was the former owner of Air Cab Taxi Co., with over 30 years in the taxi business. He was a member of the Air Force Veterans Club and the Main Brace. His hobbies included playing darts, bowling, was an avid supporter of the American Hockey League when it was in Moncton, watching all sports on television and enjoyed socializing with his family and friends.

Bob will be sadly missed by his wife of 36 years, Wanda (Tower); son, Ryan, Moncton; daughter, Ashley (Jeremy Cleghorn); grandson, Quentin Cleghorn; sister, Gertrude Wilson, Salisbury; brother, Stewart, Ontario; brother-in-law, Floyd Steeves, Weldon; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Ralph; sisters, Linda and Geraldine.

Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Thursday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service, Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Friday, August 20, 2010, 11:00 am, Pastor Jim Eagles officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service.
