Ida J. Eagles

Ida J. Eagles, 94, of Spencer Memorial Home and formerly of Homestead Road, Steeves Mountain, NB, with her loving family at her side, passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, August 5, 2010. Born in Wheaton Settlement, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Ida (Cochran) Killam. Ida was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She was a life member of Wheaton Settlement Baptist Church and attended Brentwood Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, quilting, sewing, knitting and spending precious time with her family and friends.

Ida will be sadly missed by her daughter, June Steeves (Dana), Steeves Mountain; grandchildren, Kevin Steeves (Lynn), Riverview, Kristal Richard (Dave), Boundary Creek, Kim Steeves and Kraeg Steeves, both of Steeves Mountain; great grandchildren, Stephanie, Courtney, Cameryn, Jordan, John, Alana; sister, Gusty Carson (Gordon), Moncton. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Arnold G. Eagles (October 1974); sisters, Charlotte, Ruby, Irene, Daisy; brothers, Ernest, Byron and Jim.

Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Saturday, 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service, Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Sunday, August 8, 2010, 1:30 pm, Pastor Jim Eagles officiating. Refreshments in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
