Elizabeth (Betty) Dixon
1924-2008
Elizabeth (Betty) J. Dixon 84, of Riverview and formerly of
Moncton, with her family at her side, passed away peacefully at The
Moncton Hospital on Saturday, November 15, 2008. Born in Summerside,
PE, she was the daughter of the late William and Wanda (Small)
Matheson. Betty was retired from the T. Eaton Co. Ltd. Catalogue
Department and Imperial Insurance, Moncton. She was a member of St.
Andrews Presbyterian Church, member to the S.J. MacArthur Auxilary,
life member of the Atlantic Mission Society, former member of The
Church Autumn Club and was a member of the Riverview Senior Citizen
Club. She enjoyed reading, senior activities at her residence and
spending quality time with her family.
Betty will be sadly missed by her sons, Ken (Darcy), Vernon, ON., Bill (Bev), Moncton, Don (Nancy), Sussex; grandchildren, Ralph (Jana), Tim (Marie), Krista, Kami, Kyla, Samantha (Lennie); great grandchildren, Bryanna, Connor, Brenden, Emily, Hayden, Samuel and Sarah, loving and caring friend Linda Wortman, several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, predeceased by her husband, George Dixon (Nov. 2000); brothers, Alfred, Arthur and Kenneth.
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Monday, 2 to 4, 7 to 9pm. Funeral service, Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Tuesday, November 18, 2008 11am. Rev. Dr. Martin Kreplin officiating. Reception following the service. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
