Harold H. Carter
Harold H. Carter, 85, of Moncton passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital on Thursday, November 6, 2008. Born in Williamstown, NB, he was the son of the late John Allan Carter and Florence (Bush) Carter. Harold was retired from No. 5 Supply Depot and the Moncton Fire Department. He was a member of the Moncton Art Society and taught painting lessons for a number of years. He also enjoyed building numerous projects, including the first wooden snowmobile in Moncton from a Popular Mechanics magazine, which he later sold along with three travel trailers. He enjoyed the outdoors, trailering, fishing, hunting and was a member of the Purple Martin Society.

Harold is survived by his sons, Terry (Francine) and Glenn, Moncton; grandsons, Ian and Colin, Moncton; sister, Kay (Don) O’Blenis, Riverview; sisters-in-law, Kay Deware, Moncton, Audrey (Marcel) Gagne, Montreal; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Patricia J. Carter and sister, Audrey.

There will be no visitation or funeral service by personal request. A private family committal service in the Harcourt Cemetery will be held at a later date. In Harold’s memory, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of NB or memorial of choice would be appreciated.
