With great sadness, our hero, loving husband, best father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend passed away today, Wednesday, October 29, 2008. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Harold and Florence (Campbell) Morrow. John was employed by C.N.R. for 43 years, a former volunteer firefighter for 32 years with No. 2 Hose, and also served as Captain for several years. He volunteered and served on many boards, including the United Way, Omista Credit Union, Air Force Club, Moncton Legion Branch # 6, past President of C.N.R. War Vets and visited schools on behalf of the Veterans. At the age of 17, our father served in WWII for 3 ½ years as a tailgunner for the R.C.A.F.

John will be sadly missed by his wife of 47 years, Freda; his children, Shirley Malcolm (Bruce), Wendy Rimmer (Mary), John Morrow (Gail), Kim Carter (Brian); stepdaughters, Dallas Dunham (John), Nancy Brace (Ken); grandchildren, Christina, Laura, Kevin, Amanda, Karri, Andrew, Doug, Pam, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Martin, James; great grandchildren, Haley, Jacob, Emily, Kristen, Kaitlyn; sister, Mary Killam (Everett); best friends, Al and Ramona Wilbur; several nieces and nephews; In addition to his parents, predeceased by his brother, Ken; sisters, Helen, Margaret (Margie).

Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Friday, 6 to 9 pm. Moncton Legion Branch # 6 Memorial Service, Friday, 5:45 pm. Funeral service, Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday, November 1, 2008, 11:00 am, Dr. Laurel Buckingham officiating. Reception following the service. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
