William E. Mellish

William (Bill) E. Mellish, 75, of Riverview, with his loving wife at his side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, October 21, 2008. Born in Havelock, he was the son of the late Charles and Lena (Blakney) Mellish. Bill was a former employee of Ahlstrom Glass Plant, Scoudouc and retired plant manager at Associated Freezers Ltd., Moncton with 20 years service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, music (especially his guitar) and was an avid Jeff Gordon NASCAR race fan.

Bill will be sadly missed by his wife of over 52 years, Pearl (McKinley) Mellish; sisters-in-law, Betty Mellish, Riverview, Joan McKinley, Riverview, Muriel Upham, Hopewell Hill; special brother-in-law, Willis McKinley, Riverview; several nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. In addition to his parents, predeceased by his sister, Doris Lutes; brothers, John, George and David Mellish.

No visitation by request. Funeral service, Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Saturday, October 25, 2008, 11:00 am, Rev. James Nicolle officiating. Reception following the service. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
